Who We Are
Amanda and Rosie met in 2018 just after Rosie had opened her food truck, Cilantro and Perejil. Amanda is the food truck program manager for the neighboring micro-brewery and brought Rosie’s truck to serve food to the guests at the brewery. Immediately the two found a friendship and bonded over the following years.
Fast forward to 2025 when Amanda approached Rosie about partnering to purchase this historic property. They quickly fell in love with the space and the history that it holds. With the quirky details, meandering paths, and captivating atmosphere, it is difficult not to be captivated. As stewards of this property, they have promised to preserve its history for all to enjoy in the future.
Why Estrella de Oro?
The idea of assigning stars to hotels was developed in the mid-1950s with a highest rating of five stars. By naming this historic property Estrella De Oro, they have solidified that this location shines brightest of all much like the stars over Mt. Zion. Hospitality is always at the forefront for Rosie and Amanda and it is easily noted in the small touches that they provide for their guests. Included in each guests stay is a coupon for complimentary drinks at the neighboring micro-brewery, complimentary coffee, and top quality 100% cotton linens.
One of Rosie’s favorite saying is “El Sol Sale Para Todos,” meaning “The Sun Rises for Everyone.” Whether you visit as a friend, stay as a guest, or take a history tour from Golden History Tours, Rosie and Amanda ensure that you leave with fond memories of your time at Estrella De Oro and the sun that rises over the mountains surrounding Golden.
